Talking to the angels
Over the Xmas break, I was fortunate to have spent the entire time down at my parent's place. Their house is pretty close to the beach and it's a bit over 1.5 hrs south of where I live and to be honest, it was a welcome break from everyone. I always view going back there as a sort of a retreat for me - whilst I probably wouldn't want to live back down there, there's a sense of relaxation when I go down there as I'm not close to the people who I hang out with when I'm living at home (no offence to you guys but I do need some quality time to myself)!
So over this break, I have done a LOT of de-cluttering. I donated my old Japanese things (anime/manga, etc - 5 boxes of it) and I donated my clothes. As a result of that, I think that set me up for being able to start automatic writing and communicating with my spirits.
The first two times weren't THAT successful - I was trying to communicate with any spirit (good ones, not the negative ones), and I got a lot of doodles. They were no doubt just getting use to the communication channel. It then popped into my head that I could always chat to the angels - Archangel Michael in particular is one I feel close to, and I know he has a reputation of being very quick and to the point (which I was agonising over because automatic writing was SOOOOOO sloooooooow).
Anyway, I decided to to automatic writing with Archangel Michael one day. He started off with drawing two pictures. The first one was unrecognisable, but the second one vaguely looked like a butterfly. I'm not that confident (yet) to HEAR the messages so I came up with a way to get some more information from him. So I asked "yes/no" questions and he would cross out the wrong answer. The other thing that brought a smile to my face was that I was really confused about his first picture, so I wrote down "What is this?" and he started drawing something that clarified what the picture was! Needless to say that after 1.5 hrs of automatic writing and communicating with Archangel Michael, I felt really comforted. He assured me that I had a lot of prosperity coming along, and that it was the time for new beginnings. When I first tried my automatic writing attempt with him, I felt a very light breeze across my face as well and I suspected that was him. Why? I was indoors and that type of breeze you'd feel outside. After having a quick email with SK, she confirmed that it was indeed him (well, her spirit guides told her it was him).
One of the other archangels I have an affinity with is Archangel Raphael - he's the one who looks after you when you travel and with your healing... so for me he's kind of the obvious choice. I did a quick Angel Therapy card reading for myself today that told me that he was around and helping me so I thought I'd do some automatic writing with him! He drew something that looked like a dog and the message from him was that he was protecting me in my healing path and that was again extremely comforting.
I hope the more I do this the more messages I will be getting! If you guys are open to it, try it! Remember, make sure you do a protection prayer at the beginning so that you don't get any lower spirits or energies coming in. I'd recommend you hold a pen in your non-dominant hand and not thinking about what you will write and just let your hand move and see what you get! Also remember to thank them at the end too - it's always good to give gratitude, especially to those who are guiding and looking after you :)
