Ask your guides!
Today such a cool thing happened to me. Last week when I saw my mother, she had some pain in her lower back which I managed to alleviate a bit but not completely by applying some remedial massage and cranio sacral therapy.
I received a phone call from my dad today and after speaking to him, mum got on the phone and told me she was in a lot of pain and had to take a few sick days from work because the pain was unbearable. She was supposed to see a specialist but cancelled that after taking Nurofen and feeling ok. I berated her then because Nurofen just dulled the pain and doesn't treat the underlying symptom whatsoever and started to get annoyed that I couldn't figure out what the cause was because quite frankly, I hate seeing someone, especially someone I love, in pain.
So here I am at work, with a big pad of paper next to me and I decided to ask my spirit guides for a bit of guidance on why my mum was in so much pain. After a bit my left hand took off and started drawing. It took a good hour and after the hour I looked at the page and was stumped - initially I was a bit annoyed because I asked for guidance on what was the issue with my mum and how it could be fixed and I got this huge piece of scribble!
I decided to ask some of my friends for help - what could they see? One of them said that one part of it looked like a birds beak and started doing the "pecking" motion with her head and body (which I must say was hilarious and had us cracking up) but seeing her do that made me think - "wait... turn that sheet of paper 90 degrees!", so she did and it dawned on me that what was drawn was a coccyx. The motion my friend was imitating also reminded me of the coccyx movement - which is something I had learnt from my various readings of cranio sacral therapy. Here's the pic:

Just to compare, here's an image of the pelvis from the side (the coccyx is the pointy end on the right):
And here is an image of how the coccyx sits in relation to the rest of the spine:
If you look closely at the picture that was drawn, you'll notice on top of the pelvic area there is a slight gap between that and then there's a rectangular object diagonally on top of the left side (where the guy is essentially). That's the lower vertebrae - i.e. spine.
So anyway, I dunno about you but to me it was clear right then and there that the spirit guides were trying to tell me the cause of my mum's pain was at the coccyx. When I researched into this a bit more, I came across something called coccydynia and lo and behold the symptoms pretty much matched my mum's!
I phoned up mum, told her she needed to go get a remedial massage, use a heat pack and change the way she sat for a while and then the pain should subside.
Crazy huh! Make up your own mind!
