Meditation

I thought I had a bit of a clue about meditation but it turns out after doing some reading on it, I still have a lot of things to learn. I had always thought seeing colours during meditation meant that I was in tune with either a chakra level or a particular plane of light or even the Archangels! I also saw a lot of shadows and faces - I can still see it when I meditate now. I can't recognise some of the faces, whereas with other faces I swear they are the faces of the Ascended Masters.

What I have learnt today however is that whilst you might experience seeing of different colours and stuff whilst you meditate, you need to literally ignore it. It apparently slows down your path to spirituality and to visiting a different realm.

I thought meditation was always an exercise to help you become a lot more present and to help you deal with the stresses from day to day life. Until recently, I didn't know that it was one of the most effective methods for you to try to tap into what is best known as your "Higher Self". I still can't hear any answers to my questions so have a lot more learning and practicing to do!

Today, I learnt that meditation was another tool to tap into the different realms - i.e. a way for you look into other "worlds" without you actually leaving your body. It's all to do with opening your third eye chakra.. and everyone has the ability to do it, even though it does take a bit of work.

In my meditation this afternoon, I think I achieved piercing the "veil" of another realm. When this happened, there was one thing that I saw, and it was beautiful. It was a large large lake surrounded by some sort of sand/mountains that looked like sand. It was extremely calm, and so beautiful. The image was crystal clear in my mind and the colours were so incredibly vibrant. Now that I think about it, I recall seeing some sort of lake in a dream that I had a while ago... I hope that I'll be able to recall a bit more detail about that to see whether it was indeed the same lake. The other thing I want to say is, before I saw that vivid image, I saw white light, and a face. I'm pretty sure that face was Sanat Kumara - another Ascended Master. I need to research him a bit more to understand what/who he is/was.

Now, ever since my first visit to my crystal healer, I now understand that the shadows (i.e. people shadows) that I saw in my meditation are essentially those lost souls who have not been able to go into the light. I guess it's the "purgatory" that we Catholics have been taught to believe in. The mistake that I made in the past was concentrating on these shadows - wanting to understand who they are, etc. In fact, I mistook them for my spirit guides! At the end of the day, if you concentrate on these shadows, you will attract them, and quite frankly, they become attached to you eventually draining your energy. This is why after a crystal healing I feel so much more lighter because my crystal healer has forced these "shadows" or "lower energies" to leave my aura. They're not allowed to attach to us living people, but they do. Given my mistaken belief, I attracted all of these sorts of lower energies to me and it made me tired, over emotional, etc etc. We all think that these "feelings" are a result of the lives that we live, but more often then not, they're not. They're there because we are being influenced by external and unseen factors. Meditation helps you to become aware of what is really you and what isn't - you become a lot more sensitive to things.

So how can you stop from getting these energies attached to you? Before meditation, you can protect yourself by say using crystals or imagining that you are enveloped in the white light or even asking your angels/spirit guides to protect you! During the meditation, if you see these shadows, ignore them and they'll leave you alone. You will tend to see these as you progress through the lower realms where these lower energies reside.. when you get to the higher realms, they're not around. Don't be afraid if you see them either - you can actually tell them to leave you alone! Otherwise, think positive and loving thoughts and you will be fine. They're attracted to negativity and fear.

What are the benefits from meditation? I find it makes my mind a bit clearer, I'm not as stressed out as I was, I can handle certain situations a lot better, and I take the time out to appreciate what I have. It's amazing what having an attitude of gratitude can do for your own well being. Instead of thinking the worst in people or assuming things which have no basis whatsoever and messing with your head, just take things for what they are and appreciate what you have. You will attract more of that into your life.

Onwards and upwards! I can't wait to see what other realms of a higher vibration are like! Bring on the meditation!
