Expressions of Gratitude and my Year in Review

Gratitude and my thanks

It is important to express your gratitude for the even seemingly small things in your life because once you begin to appreciate and recognise them, the Universe will keep sending beautiful things your way. I keep forgetting every morning to express my gratitude for the day, but I definitely have it as part of my practice to give thanks before I go to bed for the things that happened during the day.

If you're one of those people who struggle to figure out what to be grateful for, how about being grateful for the roof over your head, the fact that you can afford to eat food, the fact that you have a job, that you have children (or a dog or a pet), that you have a family or a partner who loves you, that you have friends who will support you no matter what or that you are alive? When you look at your life from this perspective, there are sooo many things to be grateful for every single day.

For me, I want to say thank you to all of you guys. You support me by reading this blog, by coming up and having conversations with me, by not treating me like a whacko when I talk to you about my beliefs and by cheering me on the journey that I'm currently on. That means a lot - more than you can ever imagine. I mean, most of you have come over my place for a massage when I was studying in order to help me develop my skills! I seriously thought I was going to struggle with finding people who were willing for me, an amateur, to touch them so I am so so grateful for the fact that you guys allowed me to do that. Not to mention you all are open to me "experimenting" with cranio sacral therapy. Neither of us know what is going to happen when I start but I'm so pleased that all of you get something out of it at the end of the session. Thanks so much!

P.S I massaged my dad yesterday and did some cranio sacral work on him. To my surprise he was really happy with the massage, said he felt so much lighter and that the pain has gone. I asked him this morning if he had a good sleep and whilst he didn't, he said he no longer tossed or turned because the pain was gone. I think if I get the opportunity to work on him a bit more he might be a bit more open to new ideas :P

Year in Review

So I thought I'd do a quick bullet point list of things that has happened to me this year. I'm grateful for all of these things happening too!

  • Building great friendships with a number of people (you know who you are).
  • Angel card readings (Thanks One Grounded Angel)!
  • Finding out the name of my guardian angel AND getting pretty obvious signs that angels exist and are around (hello shooting star - I had the biggest grin on my face when that happened).
  • FINALLY finding my life purpose - i.e. to heal others.
  • Going camping with my own camping gear!
  • Going on an epic holiday to Europe luxe style!
  • Enrolling in and completing the first half of Cert IV Massage Therapy.
  • Learning lots from a spiritual perspective (still learning!).
  • Reconciling with my brother
  • Had a psychic reading and a drawing done of 2 of my spirit guides.
  • MM agreeing to be my mentor.
  • Somehow tapping into the craniosacral waves.
  • Beginning to feel energies in my hands.
  • Becoming a Neural Skeletal practitioner.
  • Meeting SK.
  • Learning to let go of what no longer serves me.
  • Learning to "receive" - thanks to everyone who give me the smallest things because they mean the most!
Now that I look back, that's actually quite a lot! Bring on the new year yea!!
