The collective consciousness
Happy Easter peeps! I hope you're having a great weekend - got to love the Easter break as you get a good 4 days off to recuperate from the hectic work week.
Yesterday when doing my card reading, the "Ocean" card popped up. For me that normally means I need to meditate or head out to the water to get some sort of inspiration. For others it might mean the washing away or the letting go of emotions... who knows. The interpretation of that card stumps me every single time it pops up :P
Today was such a beautiful day that I decided I would walk to the beach (and on the way back buy some ingredients to make a passionfruit cheesecake for my parents). As I stood with my feet in the sand, staring at the waves, I noticed that there seemed to be an invisible energy that had hit the waves at a perpendicular angle and was pushing the water incredibly quickly and powerfully in that direction.
I was mesmerised by this "act of nature" and was trying to figure out exactly what it was. I noticed that initially, when you looked at the waves straight on, they all just seemed to head in one direction - towards the sand. As I stared more at the water, I could slowly see that there was more that just that one movement in the water... there were waves going in all sorts of directions and a lot of what made the waves "crash" was the meeting of these waves.
It got me thinking to the concept of the collective consciousness, and how for us, if we are trying to raise our vibrations and that of the world, the more people who "got on board" with the message of love and light, the more powerful their voice and their message would be. There's ample evidence out there about how we are all connected - e.g. the tale of the same experiment being done at the same time in one country and another country halfway across the world. The people were no way connected physically and could not communicate. It was apparently a very tricky problem... but then one group managed to find the solution, and then somehow the other group also found the solution. Not the best recall but you know what I mean.
Observing the waves today really rammed that message home. There was one wave coming straight towards me and then all of a sudden it was hit by another wave that was going at an angle. This therefore caused the energy in the original wave to move down the entire length of the wave at double or even triple the rate and power. It was such a remarkable event. No doubt the bigger waves get a lot of their power by the coming together of smaller waves - so I guess that shows that the more people you have who are similar to you, the powerful you as a collective are.
That's food for thought!
