Your message for the New Year

Image
Happy lovely morning everyone and I hope you are excited about the new year being just around the corner (i.e. tomorrow)! I've spent this morning doing card readings for a bunch of my friends giving them a general theme/message for the new year - every one of them have been on point so far and have been extremely positive. My personal message for the new year is abundance. Funny that because that's been a consistent theme for me for the past couple of days/weeks. The precise card from the Angel Tarot deck is Six of Earth - Gifts of money, time or effort. New career opportunities. Receiving a loan or paying off debts. It's an extremely positive card which spells out some really good things for me. For example, the new career opportunity I'm hoping will be something closer to "home" being closer to my path as a healer. I have also been looking at buying an investment property (yes yes I know... I'm about to change careers and how the heck can I afford an...

Automatic writing take 2

Ever since trying my hand at automatic handwriting a few days ago I've tried to practice once or twice every day. I find for me that it works as long as I switch off my mind and don't really try to control my hands, but obviously there are some times when I'm trying to interpret what is being written to no avail. I read on a few blogs about writing down questions and addressing it to whoever it is you want so that you can get the answers. I decided to do this yesterday and ended up getting some more scribbles and some letters here and there but they were difficult to interpret. So this morning, I decided to try it on a word processor instead. So I did my quick protection prayer this morning and sat down at the computer with hands on my keyboard waiting for something to happen. Slowly but surely, my hands began to move. First my left but then it seemed that my "higher self" (this is who I wanted to communicate with) preferred moving my right hand... so much so ...

Trying my hand at automatic writing

I hope you had a wonderful Xmas break and had a lovely time spending it with your loved ones. For me it was just eating and eating and I'm sure I gained a few kilos :P For my family, we generally have a big Xmas eve feast and don't do much on Xmas itself. However this year, one of the Catholic priests (who's my dad's best friend) invited us down to his place for a Xmas lunch. There ended up being about 10 or so of us, my family, another family, the secretary and her two kids, a trainee priest, 2 students and 2 nuns. I've known the nuns for a number of years now... the first time I met them was were they came over to our family house years ago for a Xmas dinner that I had cooked. They're a bunch of great people with hilarious personalities. What I was grateful for however was when I told the nuns I was changing careers and was telling them what I was doing from the energetic healing perspective, they got it. In fact, they started talking about chakras, and sa...

Expressions of Gratitude and my Year in Review

Gratitude and my thanks It is important to express your gratitude for the even seemingly small things in your life because once you begin to appreciate and recognise them, the Universe will keep sending beautiful things your way. I keep forgetting every morning to express my gratitude for the day, but I definitely have it as part of my practice to give thanks before I go to bed for the things that happened during the day. If you're one of those people who struggle to figure out what to be grateful for, how about being grateful for the roof over your head, the fact that you can afford to eat food, the fact that you have a job, that you have children (or a dog or a pet), that you have a family or a partner who loves you, that you have friends who will support you no matter what or that you are alive? When you look at your life from this perspective, there are sooo many things to be grateful for every single day. For me, I want to say thank you to all of you guys. You support me...

A mis-match of everything

There's so much to say so I thought I'd do a quick post on a bit of everything that I've done/learnt the past couple of days. Letting go of previous behaviours that no longer serve me As you know, I was brought up a Catholic. On Sunday, I made the first decision NOT to go to church. Why? I was partly hung over from the day before and couldn't drag myself out but also I just realised that a lot of what the church teaches doesn't resonate with me. Well, more like if I go to church I'm generally a drone sitting there thinking about other things and not really concentrating on the Gospel. At the end of the day, I'm beginning to have a better idea of the beliefs that I have (and of course I still believe in Jesus, Mary, the Saints, etc), but I'm becoming to realise that the Catholic "religion", like all religions, is an institution with certain rules laid down by who knows who and there is a lot of other stuff that they miss out on telling us. ...

My encounter with an Archangel

Today I went to see the sports kinesiologist that had been recommended to me by my mentor. I think the best way to describe the experience of meeting her and chatting to her was pretty much mind blowing and absolutely phenomenal. When I first met her, she had a very "bloke-ish" aspect to her, and as the session went through it was quite clear why. All I can say is that she is an extremely amazing (and VERY powerful) person, and she pretty much says it like it is. Once she figured out that I was on my spiritual path and open to learning sorts of things, she opened up a lot and told me about what happened to her to make her confront the fact that she was a medium and she spoke a lot about her "power team", which are essentially her spiritual guides (being her deceased brothers, etc etc). One of the first things she did whilst talking to me was place her hand around my throat chakra because she saw that it was a bit off. She was talking to me and all of a sudden sh...

Tapping into the Akashic Records

Ok I admit it, work has been a bit boring of late (not that I mind.... having some boring time is GREAT given the crazy year I've had), so I've been reading... reading lots of stuff. I thought I'd do a quick post on the Akashic Records. I can't remember exactly when I stumbled upon this "concept", but it's essentially a record of your soul's life, journey, learnings, past, present and future (yes future). The future obviously is based on your current state, and can be changed depending on your choice. When I say record, it's not like it's written on a piece of paper, it's more of an "etheric" concept that anyone can tap into, at any given time, provided you have the right intent and that you following the right steps to open access to it (including ensuring that you are protected). Everyone has their record and you could potentially access other people's records too but ensure that you have obtained consent. The Akashic Reco...

Weekend of learning

I have just spent the weekend in Melbourne learning a new technique called Applied Neural Skeletal Movement. It is essentially a technique that can identify via muscle testing miscommunication between the brain and areas of the body. It was a great weekend, and it turns out that my fears about being the most inexperienced student in the room were baseless as the people turned out to be really nice, the content put us all the same page and it really made me realise that there are sooo many natural and complementary modalities out there that can be used to make people healthier and happier. I was there with MM, and as always, MM was impressed the students and the lecturer with this knowledge. He seemed really excited about the new stuff, and we were practising the techniques on each other. We even managed to bypass a lot of the hands on swiping stuff by just "asking" the body - kinesiologists would understand this concept very well.  It was quite weird because everyone was ...

My taste of a past life regression

Today I went to see my crystal healer in order to try to make some sense about the emotions that I was going through at my work retreat last week. I had thought that a lot of it was to do with the haunted nature of the place, but after this morning, part of it was also because of what happened to me in one of my past lives (of which everyone has a few)! As some of you know, ever since focusing on my spiritual journey this year, I have become fascinated with past lives. Being a Catholic, it is a concept that is not even heard of - there is no such thing. However, the more I read about it, the more I know that the concept of past lives is true.  You can take various forms in your past life, and often the people who you know now and have an important role in your life were also with you in your past life. You are expected to learn different life lessons in each life, and the people you meet are part of that. One of the reasons why I went to the crystal healer earlier this year w...

How energies can affect those who are sensitive

It's been a relatively tough week for me. It started off with heading to Q Station out at Manly for a 3 day 2 night work retreat. For those who have never heard of Q Station (or Quarantine Station), it's a place that is situated on North Head Manly, and was where people were quarantined from the rest of the world if they were suspected of having contagious diseases. It's a gorgeous place to be - close but far away from the hustle and bustle of the city and a quick place to have a retreat. It is also famous for being haunted - apparently one of the most haunted places in Australia (great). Sunday started off fine with great weather and a quick dip at Quarantine beach. The vibe felt really peaceful and I seemed to be fine. Of course knowing about Q Station being haunted, I carried a number of crystals with me throughout the day - the main purpose was to be shielded and protected from the spirits.  On returning to my room after dinner, I settled myself into bed. Since I s...
