The theme of letting go continues

A few days after my last post I received my reading from Angel Souls 444. One of the main messages that was coming through from the angels was that I needed to let go of control - more so letting go of the need to outline exactly how I was going to get certain things, or even more broadly, whether I would be able to get what I *thought* was great for me given that the Universe apparently has some other plans for me which are bigger and better than what I wanted.

So setting aside that particular part of the reading, I had that lesson slapped in my face over the weekend. Looking back now the whole episode was somewhat hilarious and I can really see how things will always work out the way they should, but let me tell you when I'm in the middle of it happening, sometimes it's hard to be objective!

Here's the story - my bf and I went away to Port Stephens for the weekend and had the idea to come back early on Monday as I had an appointment to make at 2.30pm. We drove up on the Saturday and after having a nice swim at the beach and lunch, we made it to our accommodation. The lovely guy at reception gave us a list of 8 things to do whilst we were at Port Stephens. We weren't sure whether we would get to do them all so decided we'd get to 2 of the locations that day (it was later in the afternoon). At the second location, we watched the beautiful sunset and I had wanted to check out the moon and stars through my bf's telescope. I particularly wanted it on the Saturday as I had seen the weather forecast and Saturday was the only "clear" night.. so I wanted to see the moon and the sky!

We decided to get some dinner first before the stars came out. The restaurant wasn't that busy, so we thought that we'd sit there for dinner instead of getting takeaway and then head out to the beach. It turned out that service was incredibly SLOW, and I was getting increasingly irritated that our mains had not come out yet when people who had come after us had all of their meals on the table! In amongst this my bf is chuckling at me because from his point of view "The Universe knows best". *shakes fist*

Anyway, we finally get out and when we head to the beach and set up the telescope, my bf points out to me that there was an amazing halo around the moon. Once I got used to looking through the telescope I could also see the craters on the moon and the like, and after I saw that the clouds had essentially moved over so that we couldn't see much anymore. Just for the sake of completeness, we saw the moon the next day too but there was no halo around it. Universal timing.

Over the rest of our time away, Divine timing played out. We were walking along Nelson Bay and not too sure when the next ferry would be heading out to Tea Gardens. It turned out when we went to check out the times, the next ferry was due to depart in 15 mins so we ended up getting onto that and going. Not to mention apparently this place had amazing oysters so we decided to meander there right after getting off the ferry and we ended up getting the last 1/2 dozen oysters to eat and everyone else missed out (I was secretly chuckling to myself when I kept hearing the lady turn away customers because there were no more oysters for sale). We then had a great lunch and headed back in. We decided to head to a particular beach and another look out point and after that went back to have some amazing Indian for dinner (all which went smoothly) and went back to our accommodation.

The next day, we were about to head home early because of my appointment. It turned out my appointment got cancelled at the last minute so we were able to fit in a walk that both of us wanted to do but didn't have the time to. In addition to that, we ended up catching up with our mutual friend in Port Stephens even though we don't live THAT far from each other in Sydney! We had been trying to catch up for such a long time and it turned out we had to go away to catch up. It was a beautiful catch up, and I got to meet my friend's lovely family. Her kids (or should I say step kids) were very welcoming and I think one took a particular liking to me as she just kept talking to me and wanted hugs from me, etc. If we had rushed to get back home we would've missed this quality time.

At the end of the trip, we managed to make all of the 8 attractions plus have a great catch up with a wonderful friend. The lesson for me was to not force things - if I was to force something that wasn't right, I was going to be thrown an obstacle and was going to get really pissed off. When I just went with the flow, things went naturally and it was the small surprises that made the whole time really special.

Speaking of the Universe looking out for me, I had been feeling really tired today due to me coming back home later yesterday and having a client book last minute on the same day. I actually had a client tonight but it turns out he forgot about coming over so whilst I was slightly disappointed about not having the client over, I was also pleased because it gave me more time to do what was important - look after me. Thank you Universe.
