Using moon cycles to your advantage

Most of you who read this blog understand in some way or another how nature can affect your life. Usually when you're feeling like crap and go to the beach and listen to the waves, or you go for a nice bush walk, or decide to garden (or in my case - buy potting mix and re-pot some plants), touching a cat or a dog - you feel good. I've found recently that after dipping in the ocean for a bit my body starts buzzing and it's a good type of buzzing. Similarly now I can feel the vibrations in the sand as I am sitting on it and it feels great to connect.  The ancient ones used to place a lot of emphasis on star positioning and sun position in determining where to build certain monuments. Similarly, the moon has been a sign that has been worshipped in ancient times. I'm sure a lot of you realise that if your menstruation cycle is closely aligned with the moon cycles, you have little issues with your menstruation and fertility rates than other women!  One of the messages th...

A quick guide to using meditation to get the answers you seek

A couple of weeks ago, I participated in a free channelling session at an Open Day. I managed to get there early and reserve a spot with this really lovely lady named Natalie. As the session was just 20 mins, she warned me that I was about to get a crash course of various messages from my guides so to sit back and relax. Rather than go into detail about all the messages I received (and there were LOTS), I wanted to focus this article on meditation. I'm sure most of us would know by now that meditation is a pretty good way of getting rid of the junk or the "monkey chatter" in your brain and regular practice really assists you with leading a less stressed out life (e.g. meditation tends to make you see the bigger picture and really not sweat the small stuff). Anyway, Laughing Bull was in full force during the channelling session and was giving some very precise instructions on how I should be meditating (I thought I'd share it with you guys in case you wanted to try i...

Letting go and letting "God"

I know you're probably sick of hearing the whole adage of "Stop trying to force things to happen" or "If it's out of your control just let go". Easier said than done right? Especially as we humans tend to like to think that we are in control in our lives because that's what we're comfortable with - we have this sort of fear of the unknown.  I've most likely blogged quite a lot about this topic, but I think it's important to keep ramming home the message (and keep reminding myself that things will be A-ok). I find it amazing that my boyfriend is pretty much a living example of "letting go and letting God". His motto for a long time has been "I just let the Universe do its work" and I see so many examples of this! Two days ago he had been talking about the fact that he needed to buy some shoes. In fact, he wanted converse black shoes but if he couldn't find anything for that price, he was happy to get any other brand...

The case of the shortsighted person

Forgive me for the title - I just finished watching the last episode of Sherlock Season 4 so I've still got the "detective" vibe going on in my head. Today I wanted to chat to you about our perceived failings and wanted to give you an example of my perceived failing. I was chatting to my shaman this morning and said that I wanted to clear up the issue of my shortsightedness and see clearly again. My shaman asked me what was my perception of the shortsightedness - my answer was "It limits my ability to do things because I cannot see properly". For me I had seen my eyesight as a way to stop me from doing what others could because I couldn't see - I had to pay more money to get my eyes corrected and let's face it, my eyesight is pretty bad. I constantly need to wear glasses or contact lenses otherwise I wouldn't be able to do anything! Or so I thought. The next thing my shaman asked me was "What are the benefits of me not being able to see?...

Forgiveness is a great form of healing

This week I was fortunate enough to have a client book in at the last minute for a session. When she saw me, she told me how stressed out and angry at the world she was. This was understandable given a lot of things that were going in her life at this point in time. As the session unfolded, we had a conversation around many issues and I felt very helpless to give her ideas on how to make the situation better. I began doubting a little bit about my ability to be able to assist in fixing certain issues. I really want to assist a person in dealing with all of their issues and when I can't think about a way to do it I get annoyed at myself (or perhaps not annoyance but more a feeling of shame because I can't help). ANYWAY, we're getting to the 1.5 hr mark or so and I started to do some craniosacral therapy on her. Things started happening in her body and she was telling me what was happening. We dived a bit further and tried to understand the thoughts and/or emotions that c...

A humbling experience

On Sunday I did card readings for myself and the intent of my card readings was to pull one card for each week in January. That card would give me the general theme for the week. For this week, my message from the card I pulled was about accepting other's help. As you know, yesterday I created brochures for my new service offering and received lots of great feedback from some of my friends. I had thought that would be the end of the receipt of help and boy was I wrong :) This morning, I went to the post office to collect a book that I had ordered pre-Christmas - Metaphysical Anatomy by Evette Rose. I came across the existence of this book by chance last year, when for some reason I was drawn to a video by Teal Swan and she mentioned the book. This book is essentially like an encyclopedia of a number of medical conditions and goes into depth about the emotional or potential traumatic underlying cause of that medical condition. Now if you know me well, you know that this sort of ...

Welcome to 2017 - the year of creative beginnings

Happy new year everyone! I hope that you all enjoyed a lovely Christmas and did something nice to welcome in the new year as well. 2017 is a number 1 year (2 + 0 + 1 + 7 = 10; 1+ 0 = 1). Number 1 is the number for new beginnings! Basically this year is your year to get off your butt and do something you've always wanted to do - take leadership of your own life. Start taking the steps to achieve your dreams. Be confident in your self and go and get what you have always wanted! That's pretty exciting is it not? I'm really excited for this year to start for a number of reasons - 2017 will be the year that I move fully into my new career and say goodbye to the lawyer who has served me well for the past 10 years or so. It is the year when I ramp up that side of the business and take further steps towards achieving my dream. The messages I've been receiving from the angels and the Universe has basically been along the lines of "You can do this", "Everythin...
