Viewing the results of the US election in a different light
This week has been a bit insane but it closes the chapter on the drama known as the race for the US presidential seat. Yesterday I was walking to work and felt that the energy of the "air" around me was incredibly heavy. Heavy and gunky - that's probably the best way I can describe it.
It wasn't until later that it dawned on me that perhaps the heaviness I felt in the air was a world energy that could very well be related to the anticipation of the outcome of the presidential election. Well, we all know the outcome of that election - it was a HUGE upset, Donald Trump is the next US president - who would have thought?
My initial reaction to this was that everything was over. I was incredibly worried about what he would do especially given some of the ridiculous rants he had as part of the entire campaign. Obviously a lot of people also have the same sentiment which then is blowing up with the number of protests that are being held.
I've kind of had enough of the negativity these days so I think we all should take a step back and think about the positives from this situation. No one thought it could happen - and then it did. Why? Because the collective got together and made it happen. Isn't this a perfect example of the power of the collective people? Why did people rebel against Hilary Clinton? Was it because she was so embedded in the current state of US politics that people really did not want the "same ol thing" to continue?
What happened yesterday is a big wake up call to the world - in fact, I think we can almost view this as a beacon of light to show that people will no longer put up with the "norm", essentially being ruled by those who have more of their own political interests at heart rather than really trying to make the best decision for the entire nation (or world for that matter). This is not to say that Donald Trump will not fall into that trap, but I would rather be hopeful that he actually has a heart and will make the decisions for the better of the country. Donald Trump won because ultimately, we made it happen. Politics, the Western medical industry, religion, World War II, global poverty and I'd go as so far as saying a lot of the natural disasters - these things are the way they are because we made it happen.
So what can we do to make things better? Work as a collective and make it happen! We can all start by praying - praying for a better future, praying for Trump to choose the right advisors and also praying that the Universe has our back. Remember, nothing happens without a reason. There's a reason this happened and given that I felt a shift in the energy today (today felt a lighter than yesterday), I feel that this actually is for the better of all of us.
So instead of focusing on the negatives, why don't we try focusing our energy and thoughts to making 2017 a year that is for the benefit of the entire world? Donald Trump winning the election was a miracle. So doesn't that show that if we were acted as a collective then we might also cause miracles too??
